We will process your order as soon as possible within our standard business hours and any orders received outside of these times will be processed and dispatched on the next working day. Please note that the stated delivery time is estimated for within business hours, and does not include any time for processing your order. We will email you a confirmation once your order has been shipped, which will include your tracking number.
All shipments are sent via traceable method with signature required upon delivery. When checking out please supply us with a physical address, such as a workplace, where there will be someone present to sign for your item between the delivery hours of 9am - 5pm weekdays. Please also add a phone number, as couriers will use this to contact you if they are having difficulty delivering your parcel.
PLEASE NOTE: If for any reason you wish to have signature required removed from your order, please note this in the shipping instructions of your order. By requesting this service be removed, you are acknowledging that Deryn Schmidt is not accountable for any lost or stolen orders and that your order will not be covered by insurance.
When receiving a consignment that may be torn open, badly crushed etc please be sure to NOTE this when signing for the goods for your own protection and coverage. Signing for a parcel without any notifications effectively confirms it has been received by the consumer in good condition.

Title for merchandise shipped internationally will pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier.
When orders shipped internationally reach the destination country, they may be subject to customs clearance procedures which can cause delays beyond original delivery estimates. When ordering from Deryn Schmidt, you are considered the “importer of record” and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.
Depending on the destination you may have to pay additional taxes and/or import duties, which are levied once your package reaches your country. Deryn Schmidt will not be held responsible for any additional taxes or duties incurred by your country.
Your order is shipped on a DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) basis, which means that the price displayed at checkout are exclusive of all taxes and duties. We are unable to calculate the exact amount of duties and taxes your package will incur as these charges are imposed directly by your local customs. The international carrier may invoice you for the local taxes and duties, or you may have to deal with local customs directly to organise payment and release of your package.

If an item is held for 5 days at customs or with the delivery provider with no response from the recipient it will be sent back to us, and the cost of this return postage will be deducted from the refund of the item.
Online Returns Policy
Please take time to familiarise yourself with our returns policy before making a purchase online.
Are you concerned that an item may not fit or look quite right? There is no need to worry, as full priced items may be returned for a refund as long as the item is returned within the following time frame:
- 7 days of receipt for New Zealand purchases
- 10 days of receipt for International purchases
If you wish to return an item for any reason, please email us first on firstname.lastname@example.org, letting us know your intention to return the goods and your reasons why, including your order number as a reference.
If you have purchased the wrong size, despite following the Size and Fit Guide carefully, then we will exchange it with another more suitable size or provide a refund. If you have received a faulty or incorrect product we are able to provide a refund or exchange.
If we receive the item back within the day timeline specified above and in it's original condition - i.e unused, unwashed and unaltered, with all labels and tags attached, your refund or exchange will be processed within 1-2 business days. You will be notified by email to the address listed on your account when this transaction has taken place.
We will not exchange or refund items where it is obvious the care instructions have been ignored.
Other than circumstances covered by NZ Statute SALE OR DISCOUNTED ITEMS must not be returned, refunded or exchanged, these are for FINAL sale.
Initial and return shipping charges are not refunded unless the original item was incorrect or faulty
We invite you to make queries into any matters concerning our products whether it be sizing, fabric, colour - whatever you may wish to discuss prior to and after purchasing. Every effort has been made to portray the colours of our products that appear on this website as accurately as possible. However, because the actual colours you see depend on the monitor you are using, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any colour will be completely accurate.
We do our best to keep the website up to date. However, if for any reason your items purchased are sold out, we will notify you by email as soon as possible and you will either receive an immediate refund or be contacted and informed of the expected delivery date.
Shipping your item back to Deryn Schmidt will be your responsibility, so we suggest you package the garment carefully and use a tracked and insured shipping or postage method.

For refunds, your bank may require additional days to process and post this transaction to your account once they have received the information from Deryn Schmidt. Please allow up to 2 – 3 working days before contacting Deryn Schmidt.
Packages received at Deryn Schmidt after the return time frame window specified above will not be accepted and will be sent back to you.
In Store Returns Policy
This returns policy applies to purchases made in-store only. We will happily exchange any full price garment within 7 days of purchasing. Items must be returned in their original condition with tags attached along with the sale receipt. Unfortunately we do not offer refunds on change of mind purchases.
